இன்று (ஞாயிறு) காலை விஜய் டி.வியில், மதன் திரை பார்வையில் செல்வராகவனை பேட்டி கண்டார்கள் (புதுபேட்டைக்காக). பேட்டியில், புதுபேட்டை மக்களிடம் சரியாக போய் சேராததை போல் பேசினார் செல்வராகவன். (உண்மையில் புதுபேட்டை மெதுவாக பிக் அப் ஆவதாக கேள்வி!!). அதற்காக வருந்தியவர், இனி தமிழ் படங்கள் பண்ண போவதில்லை என்றும், தெலுகு, மற்றும் இந்தி படங்கள் பண்ண போவதாக தெரிவித்தார்.
ஆனானப்பட்ட பாலசந்தர், பாரதிராஜா, பாலுமகேந்திரா போன்றோரே தங்களது பிடித்த படங்களை மக்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாததற்கு இத்தனை வருத்தப்பட்டதில்லை. தமிழ் சினிமாவை விட்டு விலகியதுமில்லை. நான் பார்த்த வரைக்கும் படம் நன்றாகவே இருந்தது. அத்தனை நடிகர்களை வைத்துக்கொண்டு கூலிப்படை ஆட்களை பற்றிய நிஜமான கதையை படமாக்க செல்வராகவனால் மட்டுமே முடியும். படம் மேலும் பெரிய ஹிட் ஆனால், அவர் தன் முடிவை மாற்றிக்கொள்வார் என்று நிணைக்கிறேன்.
(இந்திக்கு போனால் தானே தெரியும் நம்மவர்கள் அங்கே படும் அவதி என்னவென்று...)

Dhanush' small structure invites many criticism.. Gangster need not be well built..I know many gangster just as lean as Dhanush even shorter.. and they were terror. What is needed in a gangster is bravery and some shrewdness. IMO Dhanush has done a very good job, Selva and YSR too.
Opinions differ..I read Rachel's comments (posted July 06).. i cannot even argue with Rachel's .. a fully oppoiste taste. I get angry just by the look of Sneha and more when i see the quandrangle faced sonia agarwal(a typical ordinary north indian agarwal face).
I look at the acting skills of dhanush..not his looks... a mans skills make a man. I really hate Ajit.. he has got a very good look... but I cannot digest his acting... more than that his voice, i hate it. Whether Arya could have done this role better or not we cannot say.. may be it might have came out well or even not too.
I see a very good transformation in YSR music.. IMO he doesn't try to give super hit songs but songs that should fit in the movie.. The song i like the most is 'oru nalil vazhkai'.. Kamal has sung 'nerupu vayil...' i didn't like the song before I watched the movie. Thought why he brought kamal to sing a song in this movie. and felt kamal has over done the song. but after seeing the movie now I like the song very much. may be credit goes to Selva.. Now I like to hear that song so much (nowadays I listenonly to PP songs)..'Nerupu..' reminds me of 'Vikram'!!'
I am certainly a well wisher of Dhanush.. he has good skills. He has done the different stages of K.Kumar very well... starting from the school boy... then the child loosing his mother, then the boy terrrified of his father..turning into a gangster.. as a leader..as father ...'uyiroda irukanum kannu...' the good thing is he not over acting...not much cared abt image...neither want to creat an image or talking to the camera as if giving message to the society.
Not many has spoken madras tamil so well. KH used to talk in many films, but they look like artifical over dosed madras tamil.. This movie has delivered a perfect madras tamil.. Dhanush's delivery of dialogues were so good. each and every dialogues echoes in my mind..The name selection is also good..Kumar!!!!.. a really very common and more suitable name..
The opening scene impressed me so much.... i see it so often and mimic it so often.......

I agree with yr views, siva. Its an achievement for Dhanush, as throughout the film, i could accept him as a gangster, inspite of his physique.
